NEVERMORE return to Portugal with Rivers of Nihil and URNE

One of metal’s most anticipated returns is finally coming to Portugal. On May 22nd, 2027, NEVERMORE take the stage at República da Música in Lisbon as part of the “Liminal Spaces European Tour 2027”, joined by Rivers of Nihil and URNE for a formidable three-band bill.

After years away, Nevermore returned to European stages in 2026 to an extraordinary response. From packed festival grounds to their recent shows alongside Judas Priest, thousands of fans once again had the chance to sing along to songs many thought they might never experience live again. That return now moves into its next chapter with an extensive European headline tour in spring 2027.

Once again led by Jeff Loomis and Van Williams, alongside vocalist Berzan Önen, guitarist Jack Cattoi and bassist Semir Özerkan, Nevermore carry forward a legacy that established the band as one of modern metal’s most distinctive voices. Albums such as Dead Heart in a Dead World and This Godless Endeavor remain landmarks of a catalogue defined by virtuosity, heaviness, emotional intensity and an unmistakable identity.

But this return is not simply about looking back. Nevermore are also working on a highly anticipated new album, with the band suggesting that fans attending the Liminal Spaces Tour may get an early glimpse into this new chapter.

Joining them as special guests are Rivers of Nihil, one of the leading names in contemporary progressive death metal. The American band return to Portugal at a renewed stage in their career, bringing their distinctive combination of heaviness, technical precision and experimentation.

Opening the night are UK metallers URNE, completing a package that brings together three distinct forces in contemporary metal.
