The brutality and blasphemous spirit that run through this record cemented it as a touchstone of European black metal\, making this return to the stage—now that the album has finally been reissued—a celebration of the genre’s very history in Portugal. \nMore than two decades after its original release\, “The Fire God” retains its dark\, challenging aura intact. To mark the occasion\, CORPUS CHRISTII are preparing a special show which\, beyond the full performance of the album\, will include other rarities seldom featured in recent setlists. The collective will also have guests on stage\, including a keyboardist and other additional members\, promising to add new layers to the night’s ritualistic atmosphere. However\, the identities of these musicians will be kept secret\, reinforcing the exclusivity of the moment. \nThe bill goes well beyond celebrating CORPUS CHRISTII.
